Luang Pu Im Maha Ut Tiger Guardian (Dark Steel & Gold)

The Luang Pu Im Maha Ut Tiger Guardian (Dark Steel & Gold) is a striking protective amulet honoring Luang Pu Im Panyawuttho (หลวงปู่อิ่ม ปญฺญาวุโธ) of Wat Thung Na Mai in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand.

This exceptional piece brings together the revered image of Luang Pu Im with powerful traditional symbols of protection, courage, authority, resilience, and fearlessness in the face of danger.

The front features Luang Pu Im seated in meditation, rendered in brilliant gold against a rich deep red enamel background. Firearms positioned behind the monk introduce the protective character of the amulet, while sacred Thai inscriptions complete the composition.

The reverse is particularly commanding. A fierce golden tiger grips a traditional blade in its mouth, with crossed firearms positioned behind its head. Sacred inscriptions and yantra symbols surround the tiger against a contrasting dark steel-tone background.

Within Thai spiritual tradition, the tiger is strongly associated with courage, strength, authority, protection, confidence, and commanding presence. The weapons imagery further connects the design with the traditional protective concept of Maha Ut, associated with safeguarding against weapons, physical danger, and harm.

Together, these elements create an amulet centered around the strength to confront adversity without fear and the spiritual protection traditionally sought by those entering difficult or uncertain situations.

The presentation of this piece makes it especially distinctive. The amulet is housed within an elaborate gold-tone protective case, accented with clear faceted stones around the upper perimeter. Most notably, the lower portion of the case incorporates two sculpted pistols directly into its design, beautifully extending the protective weapons symbolism of the amulet itself beyond the medallion and into the surrounding case.

The combination of the deep red front, brilliant gold portrait, dark steel reverse, golden tiger, ornate case, and integrated pistol details gives this piece an exceptionally bold appearance from every angle.
